4. Mount Norquay

Mt. Norquay is a mountain and ski resort in Banff National Park, Canada that lies directly northwest of the Town of Banff. Take a ride on the North American sightseeing chairlift and dine at the famous 1950’s teahouse, the Cliffhouse Bistro, while enjoying a stunning view of Mount Rundle. If you are feeling more adventurous conquer the Via Ferrata, which is Italian for Iron Road. A certified guide will lead you up the cliffs, where you might be able to spot big horn sheep, elk or grizzly bears.

3. Banff Train Station

Banff Train Station is a railway station in Banff, Alberta, Canada. It is used by the Rocky Mountaineer and Royal Canadian Pacific rail tour services. The station is located on Canadian Pacific line.

The station was originally built for the Canadian Pacific Railway. The station was declared a heritage railway station by the federal government in 1991. The Banff Train Station is also the location of Banff’s new intercept parking lots. These lots offer free 12 hour parking and a great place to base your adventures out off.

2. Lake Minnewanka

Lake Minnewanka (“Water of the Spirits” in Nakoda) is a glacial lake located in the eastern area of Banff National Park in Canada, about five kilometres (3.1 miles) northeast of the Banff townsite. The lake is 21 km (13 mi) long and 142 m (466 ft) deep, making it the 2nd longest lake in the mountain parks of the Canadian Rockies (the result of a power dam at the west end).

The Fairmont Banff Springs, formerly and commonly known as the Banff Springs Hotel, is a historic hotel located in Banff, Alberta, Canada. The entire town including the hotel, is situated in Banff National Park, a national park managed by Parks Canada. The hotel overlooks a valley towards Mount Rundle, both of which are situated within the Rocky Mountain range. The hotel is located at an altitude of 1,414 metres (4,639 ft).
