From early June to early October.
The bus departs Lake Louise Ski Resort every hour between 8:00 am & 3:00 pm. A bus departs from Lake Louise to Moraine Lake every hour between 8:30 am & 4:30 pm and a bus departs from Moraine Lake back to the Lake Louise Ski Resort every hour between 9:00 am & 5:00 pm.
Bookings must be cancelled within 24 hours after the original date of purchase in order to receive a full refund.
Free parking is available at the Lake Louise Ski Resort which is the location of Parks Canada’s Park & Ride. All shuttles to Lake Louise & Moraine Lake leave from this location.
Yes, kids of any age are allowed. There are lots of fun and exciting things for kids to do and see while exploring Lake Louise!
Kids aged 2-5 are free.
Yes, tickets take effect at the time you board the bus. We ask for a date so we can gauge demand for each day. However, if you miss your selected date we cannot guarantee a spot on the bus.
The bus tour is suitable for any age or fitness level.
The upper deck is not wheelchair accessible. The lower deck (inside of the bus) is wheelchair accessible.
Tickets can be purchased at the bus however, seats sell fast. It is recommended you show up at least 30 minutes prior to your desired departure time or purchase tickets online.
Dogs are allowed however, with the exception of service dogs, all dogs must sit outside on the upper deck.

Please note that WowBanff Sightseeing operates in a mountain climate. While temperatures during our operating season are generally comfortable and ideal for an open-air tour, weather conditions can change quickly. Make sure to check the forecast before you ride and dress accordingly.

Brilliant way to avoid the queues and get the scenic views. We loved it so much we took it the next day to reach the two tea house walk early: the company run an 8am trip in. The driver and guide are full of local knowledge. Highly recommended.

I live in Banff (been here 16 years) and I was blown away by the views from the open top bus! I have skied or hiked many of the mountains… read more you can see from the Banff townsite and the view from the bus was a perspective I haven’t seen before. Highly recommend!

We had bought Parks Canada shuttle tickets to both Moraine and Lake Louise. Things are extremely busy up there and couldn’t get tickets until 3:00pm. We noticed WowBanff had departures… read more at 10:00am and after seeing their bus and hearing about how it worked, we decided to buy tickets – on top of the ones we had just bought from PC. Really happy we did. The open top double decker provided an awesome experience for seeing the mountains and wildlife. Totally worth the $25.

There is a park and ride at Lake Louise. It works pretty well. Pre booking is recommended, and can be done on the web, although our booking disappeared without trace… read more first time. If you have made a booking, you dodge the first queue, and go straight to the next booth. Which is where it becomes interesting. We arrived 45 mins before our booked slot, but simply got a ticket for immediate use. And although our booking was for Lake Louise first, we could almost certainly have gone to Moraine Lake first, as the ticket we got was the same. Coming back late afternoon there was a long queue for the bus, and it was cold. They need to put on more buses at 4pm onwards, as the first bus filled before we could get on. But it does work.
